6.00: Introduction to Computer Science and Programming Fall 2009

About: This subject is aimed at students with little or no programming experience. It aims to provide students with an understanding of the role computation can play in solving problems. It also aims to help students, regardless of their major, to feel justifiably confident of their ability to write small programs that allow them to accomplish useful goals. The class will use the Python programming language.

6.00-staff mailing list down over the weekend (2009-10-13 18:19:00)

For some reason, the 6.00 staff mailing list was not working over the long weekend. It seems to be working now. If you sent us an email during that time and we haven't responded and you still need a reply, please email us again. We're not ignoring you, honest!

The problem was at the MIT level, so your other courses may have had the same problem.

Correction to previous announcement about Problem Set 4 (2009-10-09 16:39:00)

In my previous announcement about Problem Set 4, I mistakenly said that the last function should be compute_poly(phi_0). It should be compute_phi(phi_0). Sorry for the confusion.
